Heat Wave

Sydney was hit with a heat wave, but not just any kind of heat wave, a 40degree crazy dry hot heat wave leaving everyone wanting to bust out of the office and straight to Bondi Beach!

If you've been in the centre over summer, you would have seen all the Style Me merchandising with loads of great summer beach looks, most of which are from our specialty swimwear and beach wear shop 'Sunburn Swim'!

I am a massive Sunburn swimwear fan, they have EVERYTHING you need. Wether it be for that summer holiday, a day by the pool, a summer beach party, your tropical holiday or even just a day in Bondi. They've got you covered, stocking premium Australian swimwear labels such as Seafolly, Isola by Megan Gale, Mink Pink and more. The girls in store are all swimwear fitting professionals, making shopping for the perfect fitting costume a breeze! The thing I love about swimwear is that it's for everyone, whatever age and whatever shape. Isola has great pieces for girls in their 20's, but also caters for woman looking for a more sophisticated and modest suit, making it a perfect family friendly shopping experience.

Summer is far from being over, so here are 3 outfits for heat waves to come.

POOLSIDE GLAM- Leapord print is very chic when done the right way. That's why this Isola leopard print bikini is my pick for poolside glamour, it's a fresh take on an old look! Add an oversized hat with a classic wide brim and stripes and make the look more sexy by adding a red tote bag for all your essentials. A red sarong is also great to cover up in. Whatever you do, don't forget the oversized frames. My pick are these Mink Pink leopard print frames, in orange and brown.

BONDI BEACH BABE- Bondi is the ultimate for beach fashion, so it's important to look and feel your best. I would go for a classic triangle bikini with a twist, this great number from Seafolly has roughing on the bottoms to create a great cheeky fit. Bondi has a beach to bar culture, so having a great sun dress that will take you to a local drinking hole is a great idea. I love this white crochet dress from Seafolly, because it shows off your bikini whilst still keeping you covered. Throw on some jewelled Jelly thongs to dress up your feet, while keeping the look practical. A straw hat and sunnies are also a must. I've added a specialty Seafolly product, designed to prolong the life of your bikini. Use it to wash your cosies in, it's a new essential for any beach girl that wants longevity out of her bikini's.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS- Holidays are a time to relax and enjoy. I love wearing a one piece on holidays as it covers you up a bit. I think most girls feel more confident and relaxed with not as much skin on display. This Seafolly one piece is great, in a colourful flower print and roughing with a tie up back. A sarong is essential, as most times on holidays you end up living in your costume for meals. A sarong is a great way to turn a one piece into an outfit. I've added a visor, which is a great option for summer, that we often forget about and of course classic aviators for reading that summer book. For footwear I've chosen jewelled Holster Jelly thongs.

My 3 summer essentials from Sunburn this season are:

Jelly thongs- For a new twist on an old summer favourite, go for a jewelled pair. Jewelled jelly thongs like Holster's instantly make an outfit look more dressy. If you're planning on going beach to bar, they are a must have!

Sarong- Sarong's are life savers, because they instantly create a summer outfit. A good sarong can be turned into a skirt, dress, top, a towel, or even a head tie, with endless potential it is the chameleon of summer dressing!

Seafolly towels- Seafolly make the best towels, they are thick and oversized. Nothing is worse than being stuck on the beach with the smallest towel in your group. Super size your towel and go for a large version for maximum comfort!
