Get the look at Witchery

Witchery in the centre emulates smart and simple style for men, woman and kids all in one store. I've stalked Top Ryde City's Witchery store this week and created some Style me boards to give you inspiration on how to achieve that smart simple style for your next shopping trip to Top Ryde City.
Witchery's latest collection is very versatile, with a 'ready for anything' approach to dressing, which is great since life can be unpredictable.
The key colour trends you will see in store for autumn are cobalt blue, tangerine and metallics. I am a big fan of cobalt blue this season, it's going to be huge. It's one of those colours that can be used in so many different ways and still look good, be it just a pop of colour in a coat, pair of shoes, clutch or a bag. It can certainly brighten up any look.

My two key picks from Witchery at the moment are their Selena Boots and Bettina Boots. Both these boots are a great way to add some personality and flare to your look.

I've added in my style notes for each look with tips and advice!

Style Note- These metallic Selena boots are the perfect shoe update to change your style and are a great update from a classic black boot.

Style Note- Nude pump's like the below from Witchery will elongate your legs and make you appear taller and slimmer! They are the perfect easy to wear shoe when you're looking to impress!

Style Note- A khaki anorak is one of my essential must-have pieces for the season. Anorak's are easy to wear and can be worn with a large majority of your basics.

Style Note- Sporty Chic is still a big trend and this Racer flare dress is a great on trend piece for the season in a modern shade of tangerine. Work a bright and bold dress like this one back with simple and sleek pieces, which will keep the look minimal and modern.

Style Note- Cobalt blue used below can be worn in both accessories and clothing. Be inspired by small pieces like the scarf and wallet below in cobalt blue. They are a great cost effective way to add a pop of colour to your look.

Lux Viper at Bardot!

Bardot is a store that always has it's finger on the fashion pulse with their eclectic mix of street style and show stopping party looks. Their fresh autumn/winter collection is starting to trickle into stores and it won't leave the trend hungry disappointed! With a mix of rock star worthy threads, their new 'Lux Viper' collection will leave you looking like you're a member of a band, minus the designer price tag of course! Lux Viper mixes bold pops of colour with a great collection of faux leather basics, that you can wear again and again. My favourite pieces from the new collection are the laid back tiger printed sloppy joe's. They are sure to offer comfort, while still looking a million bucks. Bardot's faux leather shorts will work back seamlessly with any T-shirt you may have in your wardrobe. Betts shoes in the centre will soon have a fresh batch of new autumn trends as well. My 'must-have' shoe for autumn is a black ankle boot with slight heel, which you can wear all day long. Check out Betts for a great range of ankle boots, with stud and skulls embellishments for that extra detail.
Have a look at my 'Style Me' boards for more inspiration. Happy shopping!

Autumn fashion is coming!

Coming into autumn/winter fashion, the fashion colour palette naturally becomes darker. The colours to look out for are emerald green, burgundy, deep red, khaki and metallic's in gold and silver. These colour trends extend from clothing to accessories such as Nine West's new February shoe arrivals. Their new collection offers wearable and sensible heels in a great colour palette of beige, grey and deep red.

Here are this weeks tips for autumn fashion shopping!

TIP- The key to starting your autumn winter wardrobe is to invest in some key pieces, such as straight leg pants in white or charcoal. Below you can see a selection currently in stock at Rockman. With Australia's climate, we are fortunate to get away with wearing tops and singlets in the evening, even as the weather starts to cool down.

TIP- If you tend to predominantly wear black over the winter months, this season choose a colour or two from the season trends and look out for key pieces in that colour. These pieces can be as simple as earrings, a scarf or even a new coat. Slowly introduce some coloured garments into your collection, you'll soon find yourself choosing more than just your classic black!

Check out some of the new looks from Rockman's, Nine West and Colette.

Trend Alert: Army print

Army print started as a new key trend this spring/summer, with signature military inspired pieces popping up in all the leading retail stores. Autumn/winter fashion is starting to make it's way to the centre and army print is here to stay. It's on my radar as one of the biggest trends for the coming season!

As with all fashion trends, this trend extends beyond the pattern, army print also means that we will be seeing many military inspired pieces in stores. Look out for khaki as a new colour trend for everything from jeans to shorts, shirts and skirts.

If you're looking at experimenting with army prints, here are my top tips on how to pull off the trend.

Think of army print and khaki as you would denim, it's a great basic that works well with all your essential pieces. You can't go wrong with army printed or khaki pants and a white t-shirt.

Add boots to your look. Army print automatically has an edge to it, so naturally the trend looks great when worked back with black ankle boots or wedged heel sneakers.

Invest in some army print jeans. Last season it was all about coloured and floral jeans, while autumn/winter is still huge for printed pants, the trend has just gone beyond florals and into army print. Army print skinny jeans are a great way to make a simple black or white t-shirt look fresh and edgy.

Stud it up. Stud's on key accessories such as phone covers, bags, clutches, boots and jewellery are a great way to add some rock and roll bling to a look. Army print works great with studs, so don't be afraid to experiment with studded boots and an oversized studded clutch bag.

If wearing army print clothing is out of your comfort zone, you can still wear the trend by investing in army print accessories. A army printed backpack is a great way to start to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe in a subtle way.
